HealthSphere’s Predictive Health Analysis™ Tool

April 22, 2008

What follows is the actual press release for our exclusive new Predictive Health Analysis Tool:

HealthSphere Releases Predictive Health Analysis Tool

New tool generates a free health report that identifies potential risks and weaknesses an individual should be aware of.

Sacramento, CA, April 22, 2008 —(pr.com)— HealthSphere™ today announced the release of its Predictive Health Analysis™ tool.  This exclusive new tool, which is available free of charge to all visitors of HealthSphere, generates a personalized health analysis report that can be used as a preventive tool, as well as a roadmap to help bring compromised systems back into balance.  “A tool such as this allows individuals to be proactive in their own health,” said Steve Bailey, the Founder and CEO of HealthSphere.

Based upon decades of research and case studies in health and wellness, the Predictive Health Analysis™ tool was created to help individuals identify the specific systems they need to be most aware of related to illness and disease.  “When an individual knows in advance which systems are most likely to be compromised, they have incredibly powerful information with which to prevent illness and disease,” said Bailey.

The Predictive Health Analysis™ tool requires minimal user input and combines blood type and other vital information, along with answers to a brief questionnaire, into a comprehensive health analysis report personalized to each individual.  The report is displayed online after completing the questionnaire, so feedback is immediate.  The report can also be emailed by clicking a button at the bottom of the online report.

“Individuals are encouraged to provide feedback about the accuracy of their report by clicking the ‘Rate It’ button at the bottom of the report, or by following the rating link embedded within the report itself,” said Bailey.  “Accuracy ratings benefit everyone by helping us improve the quality of our health analysis tools.”

The Predictive Health Analysis™ tool is available free of charge at the HealthSphere web site at http://www.HealthSphere.com.  For more information on HealthSphere’s Predictive Health Analysis™ tool, contact Steve Bailey or visit the company’s web site.

Predictive Health Analysis Beta

March 6, 2008

Well, we did it!  HealthSphere recently launched the beta of our exclusive Predictive Health Analysis™ tool and I honestly have to say it’s scary how accurate this thing is.

For those of you not familiar with our Predictive Health Analysis™ tool, let me briefly explain what it is. It is quite simply a process that uses minimal input from a brief questionnaire to create a report that identifies: 1) the primary physical and emotional systems you need to be aware of; 2) the potential risks and weaknesses within those systems; and 3) dietary, nutritional and supplemental guidelines and recommendations to alleviate or prevent those systems from becoming compromised. It is based upon a doctoral dissertation published in 2002, which boasted an accuracy rate of over 85% with a statistically significant sample.

Imagine if your parents had this tool when you were a child. You could have grown up in an environment that followed personalized guidelines for a healthy life. If you have children, don’t you owe it to them to provide them with the tools that could lead to a healthy life?

Well, this tool is available now for trial and it’s never too late to start working for better health! While HealthSphere cannot guarantee that using the Predictive Health Analysis™ tool and following the report recommendations will cure all that ails you, we’re confident that by identifying your primary areas of concern, you can take action that leads to a healthier life.

Predictive Medicine

November 26, 2007

Wouldn’t it be nice to have some way of knowing which health conditions you’re predisposed to?  If you knew that you were at risk of heart disease well in advance of any symptoms, you could easily live your life in such a way as to avoid heart disease all together.  What about diabetes, asthma or cancer?  How about depression or obesity?  And I’m not just talking about the obvious cause and effect relationships - overeating leads to obesity; smoking leads to cancer; etc.  I’m talking about disease you wouldn’t even think about until you have it.

Technology has advanced so much over the past 50 years that by now you would think there would be a way to predict your health.  Artificial hearts; remote surgery; joint replacement (remember the bionic man?).  Think about it.  Technology has advanced to the point where the blind will be able to see; the deaf will be able to hear; the crippled will be able to walk.  And there is so much information available about genetics and disease, and cause and effect, that there should be a tool we can all use that would tell us which health issues we are at risk of.  This is predictive medicine – and it’s just around the corner.

We at HealthSphere are exploring the idea of creating a predictive health tool.  Now depending upon who you are, you might be thinking that sounds great, when will it be ready.  Or you might be thinking that sounds absurd, it cannot be done.  In either case, HealthSphere is in the early stages of designing a tool that will lead you through an in-depth series of questions and provide you with a summary of health issues you are at risk of, as well as actions you can take to prevent those health issues.  This is significantly more than just a “do you smoke?” questionnaire.  It is based upon a doctoral dissertation published in 2002 whose analysis showed an astounding accuracy rate.

So keep your eye on HealthSphere - we’re moving in new directions that promise to revolutionize healthcare.

HealthSphere Releases New Version

November 2, 2007

We just released a new version of HealthSphere yesterday!  This time it includes real graphics – not just those pulled off the web.  The color scheme is different, as well.  Blue on green – scrub green, one of the colors providers wear in the hospitals.  I’d like your opinion on the new color scheme, so post your comments here or on HealthSphere.

We will be adding burgundy on blue (my favorite) and blue on blue within the next week, so all 3 color schemes will rotate on a daily basis – you should see a new color scheme each day!  Visit HealthSphere daily and vote for your favorite color scheme!

We also opened the HealthSphere message boards to the public!  Previously, you had to register before you could access the message boards – but no more!  So in addition to links to tens of thousands of health articles and videos from across the Internet, you can also share personal experience with others.  After all, what better way to get current information on what works and what doesn’t than from those who have experienced the same issues!

This is what HealthSphere is all about – easily finding and sharing information with others.  We want to make it quick and easy for you to find everything you’re looking for when it comes to health information!  Drop us a line and let us know how we can improve.

Looking for Health Information?

October 30, 2007

If you were to need quick and easy access to information about a specific symptom, disease or medication, where would you go?  What about personal experiences from those who have been there?  Do you have a favorite health web site that you frequent?  Or do you do what over 75 million other Internet users do – use a search engine?

Studies show that 80% of adult Internet users in the US alone look online for health information every month.  That’s over 113 million people every month!  Over 2/3 start at a search engine and nearly 3/4 visit 2 or more web sites.  25 million every month express frustration or some difficulty in finding the health information they are looking for.  Are you one of them?

While the emergence of search engines was a boon to Internet users, there is so much information available on the Internet today that generalized search engines simply can’t perform the specific searches we’re asking of them.  Don’t get me wrong - I use Google all the time.  But when it comes to finding specific information, like health information, one could spend hours visiting the links returned by a Google search and still not find the most relevant information.  How many of you visit any of the links found on pages 10 through 1000?  How many even go further than the first few pages?  I guess your answer would depend upon how much time you have.

I decided back in 2006 to address this growing problem.  That’s why I created HealthSpherea search engine, a social networking site, a consumer destination – specific to health information.  HealthSphere was launched in mid-2007, beginning with just the search engine.  We added message boards in late summer and will make all the boards public by November 1st.

HealthSphere is unique in that it returns only relevant health information in a categorized format, making it extremely easy for users to find exactly what they’re looking for.  We have indexed tens of thousands of pages containing text and video topics specific to health care.  Our results are further sorted by expert and user ratings, so one can instantly find links that others have found most relevant.

What really sets HealthSphere apart is the integration of our social networking tools.  No other web site provides one-click access from relevant search results directly into the appropriate message board, where one can read about experiences from others, as well as contribute their own experiences.  How much easier could we make it?

We’re working on that!  We will be further categorizing our links to make it even easier for our users to navigate the results.  We’ll be adding additional message boards as requested by our users.  After all, our primary goal is to provide quick and easy access to all the health information one could want – in one location.

HealthSphere – The Way to Better Health

Check it out and let me know what you think…

Intro to Steve W Bailey

October 26, 2007

Last night, I went to a TechCoire networking event about marketing.  It was fast and furious, and covered a lot of topics, but what I came away with was this: I have to start blogging!  For some reason, that sounds really weird to me.

Listen, I’m 46 years old.  Blogging is for teens, right?!  Well, apparently not.  Blogging is the new marketing media.  I should be blogging in order to get my name out there, and to get my company name out there (insert shameless plug here – HealthSphere).  Drive traffic to my site, etc, etc.  Of course that’s what I need to do – drive traffic to my site.

So here I am, writing my first blog.  I had so many different topics running through my head last night – what do I write about?  I could write about my three companies: HealthSphere, Twisted Twig Winery and Nox Global Technologies.  Or I could write about diseases and conditions, treatments, symptoms, medications, vaccinations, immunizations and other health information topics with which I have become so familiar.  Or I could write about my experience with raising capital for HealthSphere.  So many topics – where do I start?

It looks like I already have.  Forgive the inexperience – I promise this will get better.
